Donald "Don"
Littrell
Jul 20, 1935 — Jul 15, 2026
Custer, WA
Donald (Don) Littrell, 90, of Custer, Washington, fulfilled his greatest wish to meet his beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 15, 2026. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, sibling, and friend, and his presence will be sorely missed.
Don was born on July 20, 1935 in the town of Aline, Oklahoma. He started work at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas, which sent him to Boeing in Seattle, Washington, where he met his beloved wife Ramona (Mona) Ellis. Don found his Lord and Savior in early married life, and started a new life of sharing the gospel to all he met, researching, learning, and growing in Christ. One of his greatest joys was making cross country trips to see and help family, taking the chance along the way to personally share the good news, which he did faithfully until the day he died (he planned on driving to Georgia for this 4th of July). Don loved Bible studies and discussing the scripture, sharing his faith boldly to each person he spoke with daily, even spending time encouraging the telemarketers who called to turn to Jesus. His faith and courage in speaking about God regardless of person or place was truly inspiring. Through all his years God blessed Don, and he never lacked for anything.
Don dedicated time to playing his guitar and singing gospel music - he truly lived out his favorite song, this world is not my home - riding motorcycles and sharing the gospel. In his recent years, Don focused on his faith and the miracles God provided, whether it was the miracle in waking up to glorify God, to giving thanks for being able to enjoy his coffee, to being able to share the gospel with some kind stranger, he always came home with a story of a new miracle every day. Like a true PNWer, Don loved his hand-made lattes and instant coffee alike. He lovingly made the best breakfast weekly (the Don Littrell special; eggs, bacon, hash-browns, and pancakes) for his grandchildren and anyone who would come. Each morning, he would faithfully wake up to Fera (he called her Feral) the dog, who was a trusted companion, feed her bacon, drink a coffee, start a fire, and study his Bible. He was an avid thrifter, and loved auto auctions, where he kept his eye out for any cars which may work for his grandchildren (many of the grandchildren first cars came from Don).
Don is survived by his sisters, Barbara Kletke, Peggy VanMeter, Alberta, and his brother, Bill (Rene) Littrell, his children Darla (Mike) Valdez, Linda (Tony) Thompson, Howard (Keren) Littrell, Kenny Littrell, Russ Littrell (Suzanne), and over 80 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren. Don will meet in heaven his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, his beloved wife Ramona, oldest daughter Cathy, and many more friends and loved ones, praise the Lord for salvation. We are comforted by one of Dons favorite verses, 1st John 4:16, “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” Praise God.
Don will meet in Heaven his Savior, his beloved wife, Ramona, oldest daughter, Cathy, and all who trusted Jesus.
