Denise Aleeta Robinson

Denise Aleeta Gail Robinson went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on March 1, 2014. She was born Denise Aleeta Gail Shepherd on September 23, 1953 in Vancouver, B. C., Canada. Her Mother was Lucille Davies, who was born and raised in northern Alberta, and her Father was Alexander Shepherd, who was born in Scotland and raised in Carstairs, Alberta.

She is survived by her older sister, Lucille and brother-in-law Robert Shaw from Calgary, Alberta. Denise is survived by her husband of 41 years, Everett Robinson, their daughter Pamela Pistell, granddaughter Aspen Pistell, Son-in-Law Ron Pistell, son Jeramy Robinson, and daughter-in-law Pamela Robinson.

Denise lived in South Vancouver all of her childhood and graduated from David Thompson High School in 1971. She lived in Vancouver until she married Everett in 1972 and moved to Chico, California where she had their children. She returned to Abbotsford, B.C. with her family in 1980 where she lived for the next 14 years. During that time she was a hairdresser and an office manager for an Audiologist.

Denise and Everett moved to Whatcom County in 1994 to take care of Everett’s Mom who was dying of cancer. While her mother-in-law was being cared for by Hospice nurses Denise decided to become a nurse. She completed the LPN training program at Bellingham Technical and worked several years in care facilities in Bellingham. Then she joined Walgreen’s Home Health Care as a visiting nurse. She often said this was the best job she ever had.

Denise’s priorities in life were her Faith in Jesus, her Family, her friends, her patients and co-workers. Denise loved reading God’s Word and singing praise songs. She was an active baker, knitter, gardener, artist, and loved her dogs Lady and Babe.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22, from 11-12 am at Christ the King Community church in Bellingham where Denise and Everett attended for the last 18 years. Reception following. At Family request please do not send flowers, donations in Denise's name may be made to Christ the King Community Church benevolence fund.
