Deana Jeaneen Reimers

September 7, 1968 — May 1, 2023

Bellingham

Our sweet mother, Deana J Reimers passed away on May 1st, 2023 at the young age of 54 in Bellingham, WA.

Deana was born in Parsons, Kansas on September 7, 1968 to parents Jacqueline and Dean Reimers. Deana spent most of her life in Washington state close to her family and friends. She enjoyed each day of her life to the fullest, even in the toughest times of her life she could be found skateboarding with her friends or going on hikes and adventures with the ones she loved. Deana loved being outside collecting rocks as she hiked and walked along the beaches near her home. Deana loved showing her daughters her favorite places to explore outdoors, and her adventures were endless. She had an eye for the little things that usually would go unnoticed by most. She would come home with a treasure each time she left the house. Deana spent the last two years of her life getting closer to her family. She had the best sense of humor even when it wasn’t always appropriate, but she just wanted to make you smile. That always made her so happy. She enjoyed spending as much quality time as she could with people closest to her and with the world.

Deana’s love language was gift giving, she found a purpose for everything she created and things she found for those she loved. She was a helper, it was very rare for her to say no when someone needed a helping hand. Deana was quite a problem solver, a walking Mcgyuver help book. She could find a solution to just about any problem you had, big or small.

She accepted everyone, she never had an ounce of judgment in her heart, no matter the circumstances.

She was close to her siblings throughout her life. She loved her whole family no matter the distance or anything that came between them.

Deana wanted to learn something new every single day. She was so full of knowledge; you could never even begin to understand the magnitude of just how thick her mental encyclopedia was. She jumped on any opportunity she had to teach and to share her ideas with anyone who was willing to listen to her.

Deana is survived by her children Heather, Tayler, Austin, Rylee, Alexis, Kayla, and Chevelle. Deana is also survived by her siblings, Gayle, Karla, Rick, Mark, and Clay along with several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Deana is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sisters Tracie and Danyl, brother Brad, and nephew Bradley.  She will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Deana’s memorial service begins at 10am and will be held at Good News Church located at 1252 W. Axon Rd. Ferndale, WA 98248.

Quotes to add:

“How lucky we are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

“There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love.”

-Washington Irving
