Dani’s family received word on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 that she died at her home in Bellingham, WA. She has been called to her heavenly home to be with her Lord Jesus where she will join family members who passed on before her. Dani was born in Everett, Washington June 14, 1958 to parents Daniel S. and Sharron Matson. She is survived by her brother Darren Matson, of Vancouver, WA., her daughter Sari Lynn Polson, husband Alex of Seattle, WA, her son Brent Ryan West , wife Ashley who reside in Bellingham, WA, her mother Sharron Matson of Snohomish, WA and nephew Caleb Matson of Gresham, OR. Dani was preceded in death by her father, grandparents Rev. Orno M. and Mary Matson and Arthur W. Schwarzmiller and Arlene Schwarzmiller. Dani grew up in Eugene, Oregon, graduated from Churchill High School, attended the University of Oregon for 3 years studying classical music and was an accomplished pianist. She was also a member of the U of O marching band playing reed instruments. Later she enrolled at a business college in Edmonds and was hired to work as a secretary for the school upon completing her education. Dani had been employed as an office manager in both a medical clinic and chiropractic facility in Bellingham. She had a special compassion for animals, especially dogs. Though she had several during her lifetime, her Alaskan Husky, Niko was her all-time favorite companion. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, 1615 SE Everett Way, Everett, WA where she will be laid to rest near her father and grandparents.
