Craig Ray Lewis, age 57, of Sumas passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 in Bellingham. Craig was born Dec. 13, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland.  

He graduated from Greenbrier East High School in Lewisburg, West Virginia were he started is working career working several farmers.  Then went working various jobs Hammond Mitchell Paper Mill, Back Creek Dam Construction, Iron worker, working construction in Dallas, operated crane constructed domes on Omaha zoo, etc.  Sumas Water Tower worked for Tencor.  Craig meet Geri while working in Sumas, and they were married February 5, 2002 in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Also worked for NW Chip and Grind, Lankhaar Trucking and a few others until January 2017.

Craig is survived by his wife, Geri of 15 years; daughter, Amy Vaughan (Hank); step-son, Casey Bauter; grandchildren, Lilly, Asher and River all of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia;  special friends, Cecil and Beth Mullins of Frankford, West Virginia and Jerry and Lucy Farwell of Deming, WA;  numerous other cousins, uncles and aunts. 

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 13, 2017, 1:00 PM, at the Sumas American Legion Post #212, 134 Harrison St, Sumas, WA 98295 with Carl Bronkema officiating.  With a reception following.  Memorials contributions may be made to the Sumas American Legion Post #212.
