Connie Rae Simpson, age 70, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021 in Bellingham. She was born September 25, 1950 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to parents Leslie and Loretta (Miller) Shore. Connie grew up in Port Angeles, Washington and graduated from the Port Angeles High School and went on to Peninsula College where she obtained her Licensed Practical Nurse Degree. After college she lived in various locations including Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Sequim, Anacortes and settled in Bellingham, Washington in 1986 where she worked for various Nursing Homes including Sehome, Mt. Baker Care Center, St. Francis, Alderwood and Highland.  She made a move to Oak Harbor in 1999, but with the passing of her husband Albert “Al” in 2002 she returned to Bellingham. Connie loved RV camping and boating and most weekends they could be found at some of their favorite spots including Birch Bay, Baker Lake, Lake Chelan, Fort Casey and Moses Lake. Most of all she loved being with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Albert Simpson, son, David Simpson, sister, Karen Reilly and brother, Mike Shore. Connie is survived by her daughters, Lisa and her husband Steve Swanson and   Vanessa and her husband Brooks Carpenter; grandchildren, Christopher Helmick (Allysha), Kaylee Helmick (Korry Fuller), Chelsea Helmick, Emilee and Maddy Swanson, Braden and Crew Carpenter; great grandchildren, Graham and Levi Fuller; sisters, Pat Watson, Eileen Hipkiss (Vic) and Susie Trickey (Robert); brother, Roger Shore (Cheri) and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
