Connie Jo Morgan

Connie Jo Morgan (George), 64, of Custer, Washington, passed away on December 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Connie was the kind of person who made others feel at ease the moment they met her. She carried a quiet strength that inspired those around her, paired with a deep kindness and nurturing spirit that made people feel truly cared for. Her warmth wasn’t something she tried to be—it was simply who she was. After retiring in August, Connie embraced the time she had been looking forward to—spending it with her close friends and family. Whether it was sharing laughter, enjoying simple moments, or just being together, those were the things that meant the most to her. She had a special way of making everyday life feel meaningful. Connie is survived by her loving husband, Jay Morgan; her children, Justin Morgan and Kelsey Short (Brandon Short); and her cherished granddaughter, Morgan Short, who brought her endless pride and joy. She is also survived by her mother, Beverly George, and her siblings, Edward (Tanya) George and Carol (Stan) Heimburger. She was preceded in death by her father, Tom George. Connie’s love for her family was constant and unwavering, and that love will continue to be felt in their lives every day. She will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, and the steady, comforting presence she brought to those around her. A private celebration of Connie’s life will be held for close friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Whatcom Hospice House or the Whatcom County Humane Society in Connie’s memory.
