Connard Vern Walton

Connard Vern Walton was born on February 26, 1931 to Floyd and Doris Walton, in Mitchell, South Dakota. He met and fell in love and Married Alice L. Dodd on July 19, 1956. They had two girls, Terry L. Bell and Vicky J. Bachmeier. Connard spent upwards of 24 years in the United States Navy and was very proud to serve his country. His influence carried over to his oldest grandson, Ronnie A. Bachmeier. Who went on and served 10 years in the Navy himself. Connard is survived by his brother, Ronald E. Walton, aka Uncle Butchie, his sister Sandi. He has 7 grandchildren. Ronnie Matthew Nathan James Susannah Cristen and Amanda and 21 great grandchildren. Connard worked until he was 83 years old at Meridian Equipment for Bob and Lynda and loved every minute of it. He loved going to Meridian High Football games, John Wayne, Watching Westerns, JAG, Blue Bloods and wearing his cowboy boots. Connard had many many friends and he loved them all! He would salute you all and give you a big smile,  and "aye aye". He will be missed.
