Collin Brandt

March 15, 1982 — March 6, 2023

Sumas

A sweet, loving, kind-hearted son and brother-Collin Brandt passed away Monday, March 6, 2023. He was 40 years old.

Collin was born in Bellingham on March 15, 1982, to Sam Brandt and Barbara Brown

Collin graduated from Squalicum High School in 2000. He was a jack of all trades, working in road construction, as a longshoreman, making rope, and most recently as the lead foreman at Whatcom Gutter & Roof Cleaning.

Collins greatest joys in life came from nature. He loved truly loved the outdoors, spending lots of time at lakes, parks, gardening, looking at the stars, photography, hiking, yoga, and floating at the lake with his siblings. Collin could build anything with his hands.

Collin was one of the sweetest, kindest people around. He felt deeply for his family, friends and people he didn't even know. Many of Collins friends have come forward to say that he helped them in their darkest moments, even saving their lives.

Collin was the family helper. He was the caretaker of his dads house, doing yard work, cutting and stacking wood, and so much more. At his moms he would cut wood, garden, dig ditches, and even helped put on their roof. He helped his sister Kim with maintenance, fixing the hot water tank, helped build an addition on her house, and more. Recently, he hod helped his brother move. But most often he was found at Jamie's house mowing the lawn, planting trees, moving trees again, putting exercise equipment together, building shoe racks, painting, helping to build a shed, and too many other things to list.

To say Collin will be missed is an understatement, as he was loved so much by many.

Collin is survived by his father, Sammy (Sam) Brandt; mother, Barbara (Mark) Brown; sisters Kim Brandt and Jamie Brandt; brother Leon Brandt; nephews Thaisyn Foeung, and Mason Brandt; and his grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and some lifelong friends.

"I will forever remember him for the brilliant, generous, open-minded intuitive, soft soul that he was.

I will remember him for that infectious smile and his genuine laugh."

"I will never forget his smile." "He was absolutely always so kind."

"Collin always answered my phone call when I needed him. He genuinely cared about his people."

"He half smiled more than full smiled, but when he did, it lit up his whole face."

"Ill never forget Collin's great smile and laugh."
