Claudia A. (Swope) Rouse

Claudia A. (Swope) Rouse, age 85, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026 at Regency in Wenatchee, Washington. Claudia was born in Bellingham, Washington on February 5, 1940 to parents, Fred and Mabell Swope, along with her twin brother, Clifford Swope.

She married Donald W. Rouse in September, 1956. They had four children; Gary, Jerry, Terry and Debbie.

Claudia lived and worked in the long-term care facilities in Whatcom County most of her life. In retirement, she enjoyed several years of snow-birding in Quartzite, Arizona. This is where she met her partner, Loren Smith. They moved to Wenatchee in 2014 and loved their life together.

Claudia loved to cook and enjoyed family get togethers with her four children, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Claudia is survived by children; Gary (Cheryl) Rouse, Jerry (Sharon) Rouse, Terry (Mary Imhof) Debbie (Craig) Perry. Grandchildren; Nathan, Jason, Jaclyn, Jolene, Janell, Tyler, Courtney and Zach. Bonus grandchildren; Douglas, Matthew, Kenzie, Kyle, Sarah, and 9 great-grandchildren. Twin brother; Clifford Swope and sister; Dee Rogers (100). Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

A celebration of life is pending at a future date.
