Charles F.H. Hurst

Charlie Hurst born October 26, 1942 in Toronto, Ontario, passed away January 4, 2014. We will all miss his carazmatic ways and sense of humor.

Survivors are, his wife Christine; brother John and wife Ann; nephews, Luke and Matt; niece, Jackie. He worked as night manager foreman in Post Press Production mailing room for the Vancouver Sun and Provence from 1978 until retiring in 2009.

Charlie married his Christine in June 1980 after meeting on a blind date. He loved to ski, fish, canoe, hunt, hike and camp. As a young guy in his early 20’s he would hitch hike across Canada and up into Alaska. He truly loved his family and friends and was great with kids, too. Always wanting animals around he filled his Mother’s house with a variety of adopted ones. He thought he landed in “The Garden of Eden” when we bought our 10 acre “farm” near Custer, Washington and filled it with pets and livestock. We even had a fish pond.
