Charles “Chuck” Allen Hamstreet, 73, of Bellingham, Washington, passed away peacefully December 17, 2025 with his daughters and best friend by his side. Born in Bellingham, Chuck spent his life rooted in the community he loved. Chuck was born January 11, 1952 to James and Margaret (Upton) Hamstreet.
Chuck was the owner and operator of Northwest Licensing and the founder of Lean on Me Service Dogs. A lifelong musician, he played electric guitar and performed with bands including The Wicked Yahoos, Sneakers, Magic Touch, and Sundance, and also enjoyed running sound systems for bands and events. He was a devoted dog lover, sharing his life with many beloved Golden Retrievers and Great Danes.
He is survived by his daughters Jennifer Teigrob (Paul) and Stephanie Stremler (Brandon); his grandchildren Gabrielle Teigrob, Angel Teigrob, Paisley Stremler, and Weston Stremler.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Jim Hamstreet, Rick Hamstreet, and Elizabeth Hamstreet.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on January 11, 2026, at the Ferndale Community Pavilion. In keeping with Chuck’s nature, casual attire is requested.
