Brian Stanley Pankratz

Brian Stanley Pankratz was born April 8, 1956 in Prince George B.C., to Lloyd and Nettie Pankratz. He peacefully passed away May 17, 2017 in his home in Ferndale, at the age of 61. He spent his elementary school years in Montana, and in 1966, the family moved to Reedley, California where he completed middle school and high school. In 1974, the family moved to Birch Bay, Washington. From there, he then attended a year at Western University. Brian continued into his career at Krause Manufacturing for numerous years, from there he went into insurance work. He moved on to work for a few different companies selling and designing HVAC systems, eventually forming his own company designing and permitting the installation of those systems. In 1991, Brian and Michelle Noyes were married and she brought to that, her son Kenneth Noyes. In 1993, they welcomed their daughter Shannon Pankratz, who is now married to her husband, Colton Lindsay and they have Brian’s only grandchild, Lily Lindsay. In his spare time, Brian enjoyed photography and volunteering in the Reserves for the Bellingham Police department. Brian was able to continue that interest by serving on the Security team at Christ the King, which he took very seriously and he gained great satisfaction and many friendships. Brian also enjoyed spending time with his family and doing activities outside such as camping and bike riding, delivering flowers for Jensen’s Floral for certain occasions and spending time working in the hay field with his brother in law Doug. Brian is survived by his daughter Shannon Lindsay (Pankratz), her husband Colton, and daughter Lily, his stepson Kenny, siblings Victor and Delaine Pankratz, Rodney and Janet Pankratz, Twila and Doug Wiebe, and Christopher and Shelly Pankratz, along with many nieces and nephews and close friends.
