Brandon Christopher Mankle, age 42, passed away at his home in Bellingham, Washington on Saturday, August 31, 2024. He was born on November 2, 1981 in Bellingham, Washington to Brian and Dawn (Wagner) Mankle. He loved his hometown and chose to spend the rest of his life here among the snowy mountains, the water and his community of people, which he cherished so much. Brandon graduated from high school in 2000. He attended Bellingham High School and later Squalicum High School, where he made the honors lists and lifelong friends. Football, baseball, golf and snowboarding were areas at which Brandon excelled as a gifted athlete. Countless hours were spent at Cornwall Church, where he was active in the youth group. In his late teens and early 20s, Brandon worked at Mount Baker Ski Area alongside his brother and his buddies. He put himself through college working both as a server at the Olive Garden and as a manager at Hollister, where he created even more friendships. After graduating from Western Washington University in 2004, Brandon became a banker, and spent over 15 years in the mortgage industry helping friends and clients get homes and start lives. His kind smile, sociable demeanor, hugs and quirky sense of humor made others feel welcomed, loved and accepted. He will always be missed and remembered.
He is survived by his father, Brian Mankle (Stepmother Julie); brother, Brett Mankle; grandmother, Sharon Wagner; Stepbrothers, Aaron Jefferson and Seth (Ellie) Jefferson and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
