Beverly Jean Kalsbeek

March 20, 1953 — September 24, 2022

Deming

Beverly Jean Kalsbeek went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 24, 2022.

Beverly was born on March 20, 1953 in Seattle, WA and joined the family of Tom, Hilda and Leroy Kornelis of Lynden, WA.   She grew up in Lynden and attended Lynden Christian School, where she graduated.

She met her loving husband Dave, in high school when they were just 17 and 18 years old, and they married September 15, 1972.

Bev and Dave moved throughout Skagit and Whatcom County over the years, while building their life and becoming parents to

Chad, Amy, and Luke.

In 1980 they moved to Acme, WA where Dave and his brother Elvin started farming.  Bev helped on the farm milking cows while the kids were in school.  She volunteered at River of Life Food Bank for many years and worked as a Lunch-Lady at Acme elementary for 13 years.

In 2018, her wish to have a sister came true.

While researching Ancestry’s website, she found out she had two living sisters, Merrill Curry and Chrissy Holden from Alaska.  They met the same year and there was no doubt in anyone’s mind they were truly related. The smiles and laughs they shared were wonderful.

She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, going on family camping trips, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was also involved in a small group at Christ the King Church and loved every minute of it.

She will be missed by her husband Dave of 50 years, her brother Leroy, sisters Chrissy and Merrill, her three children Chad, Amy, and Luke, 8 grandchildren, and many friends and extended family.

There will be amemorial service for Bev at Christ the King Church in Bellingham, WA on Thursday, October 27th  2022, 1:00 p.m.

The family requests, for those wishing to honor her life and memory, to please make donations to either the Whatcom Hospice House or The River of Life Food Bank.
