Barbara K. Frost

Barbara K. Frost, age 84, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025 in Bellingham. She was born August 30, 1940 to parents, Ernest L. and Mildred M. (Stearns) Frost. Private family services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ferndale.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Marilyn, her niece, Elizabeth and family and many cousins.

After graduating from Bellingham High School in 1958 she moved to Seattle and then to California. She spent many years in the Santa Rosa area as a Bookkeeper but also on a nearby Ranch working with horses, something she had dreamed of. Barbara was extremely fond of animals, always having a pet. She moved back to Whatcom County in the 90’s and worked at Nooksack Animal Hospital as their Bookkeeper until her retirement.

Barbara loved travelling to the desert southwest and exploring the Indian ruins. She was an excellent photographer and left many beautiful photo albums.

Barbara was committed to her friends, some she knew for decades and others for years. She loved Country Western music and particular Willie Nelson, often travelling to see him in concert.

Barbara was fierce, independent, strong and very unique.
