Arthur Henry Farmer

Arthur Henry Farmer passed away on January 17, 2017  in Bellingham. Art was born on March 20, 1948 in Torrance, CA to Arthur E and Betty Wininger Farmer.  Art worked as Field Manager for Simplot Foods and was owner/operator of Island Weed/Insect Control. He was preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Betty Farmer. Art is survived by sons, Clayton Delaney Farmer  and Cody Eugene Farmer(Brandy); sister, Marta Hand(Gary); niece, Lorenda Wieder(Steve;) nephew, Brad Hand(Kerri); grandnephews, Tobin and Zachary Wieder; grandnieces, Allison and Elizabeth Hand; former wife, Linda  Simpson; companion Cindy Snow; his dog, Kim; and many friends. Art’s passions in life were boating, crabbing and salmon fishing. Private family service will be held. A special thanks to longtime friend, Sue McLen for providing compassionate care and comfort his last few days. His message to family and friends:  “I love them, they’ve been good friends.
