Annette Louise Tennyson

October 15, 1938 — November 13, 2023

Ferndale, WA

Annie was born to Del O. Noble and Ellen P. Noble in Bellingham, WA and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1956 as well as graduating from Success Business College. During her high school years, Annie   worked at the Leopold Hotel and Coffee Shop as a bus girl. After graduation, she worked for George A Wright Real Estate until she married Richard (Dick) K Tennyson. In July 1959, the couple moved to Lawndale, CA where Annie worked as a Composite Typist for Northrop Corp. in the Norair Division. In 1965, Annie and Dick returned to Ferndale with their two sons, Robert and John. The family bought a farm and welcomed their third son, Norman. Annie learned to farm and raised cattle, sheep and chickens. She loved to garden and canned many fruits and vegetables. One of her favorite hobbies was to sew and she was a member of the Quilting Group at Zion Lutheran Church donating hundreds of quilts throughout the years. She enjoyed being a den mother for Cub Scout Pack 26 for all three sons and was also active in 4H, and FFA raising sheep and Shorthorn cattle to show at the Lynden Fair. She was also known to win ribbons with her flowers, vegetables, pies and canned goods. Annie learned to play accordion in her teen years and shared her music all through her life. When Dick and Annie put God in their life, their life was complete. They joined Zion Lutheran Church in 1972 and were active members. Annie was involved in Sunday School, Alter Guild, the Quilt Group, Arts and Crafts and served as a Council Member for many years. She was always busy. In 1990 after 30 years of marriage, Dick lost his battle with cancer. Annie stayed on the farm she loved and worked at Sears Parts and Service Department for 15 years, retiring in 2005. She continued raising cattle and chickens with the help of her sons and appreciated their hard work on the farm that allowed her to stay in her home for the rest of her life. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Stacie) Tennyson, John (Kathy) Tennyson, and Norman (Cyndi) Tennyson. Granddaughters, Dani, Katie, Kaylee, Kari, Kathryn, Francesca, and Marley. Grandsons, Johnny and Frank. She also had 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 7215 Valley View Road, Ferndale on Friday, December 1, 2023. With a graveside following at Enterprise Cemetery, 7041 Vista Drive, Ferndale, WA 98248.
