Allister McRae Hansen

The WORLD’S BEST FATHER/GRANDFATHER went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2018.  Allister Hansen, was a proud U S Merchant Marine and U S Marine and served during WWII.  After his service Al became a teacher and taught Special Education at Whatcom Middle School, Bellingham High School, and Sehome High School for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Bess Hansen, who he looked for every day since her passing.  He is survived by, son Joe Hansen and daughters Angie Kroll (Matt) and Ruth Brock.  Grandchildren Jesse Pagnossin, Spring Oman, Aaron Jackson, Lisa Jackson, Travis Jackson, Rowland Nickolaus Shephard, Frank Pullar, Miles Pullar, Wendy Hansen, Quint Brock, and Cody Brock, and 25 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.  He was an example of a good man to all of us.  He was honest, kind, loving, a hard worker, loved animals, and made us laugh.  His family was the joy of his life, and although his presence will be missed, he will live in our hearts. We thought he walked on water.
