Stanley Kern Macdonald, age 86, of Everson, was called home Thursday, December 20, 2018. He was born June 24, 1932 in Bellingham, WA to Stanley and Jean (Campbell) Macdonald. He was a proud Army Veteran, who served his country in the Korean War. Kern married Lucille Zender October 11, 1952 in Fort Devans, Mass. They went on to raise seven children in Everson, WA. Kern was a husband, father, and entrepreneur who was never afraid to try new ventures. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Skip, son Larry, and great grandson Jackson Pianki. He leaves behind his children; Steve (Colleen) Macdonald, Cecilia (Leonard) Soderbom, Mark Macdonald, Kern (Becky) Macdonald, Maxine (John) O’Brien, and Leanne (Don) Olson.
His family was his greatest pride, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Including, Stacie (Shawn) Anderson-Ensely; children, Tyler and Lilah. Melissa (Rieker) Sternhagen; children, Lincoln and Gavin. Stanley (Tosha) Macdonald; children Hayden, Nixon, Maverick, and Chloe. Morgan (Derek) Stremler. Abbey (Alvin) Burney; children Beau, Aysha, and Sophia. Jill Soderbom. Andrea (Michael) Pianki; child Dylan. Gregory (Bailey) Macdonald; child Carter. Katie (Kraig) Harvey; child Emmy-Lou. Jennifer (Grant) Hauber; children, Jordon, Lucille, and Addison. Jenelle (Kyle) Kinder; children, Koby and Kasen. Mathew (Keisha) O’Brien; children, Hailey, Ava, Roxxanne, Paxton, and Malia. Daniel (Mychal) O’Brien; child, Waylon. Chad, Annalee, and Addison Cohn.

A funeral mass will be offered by Father Francisco Cancino Friday, December 28, 2018, 11:00 AM at St Peter’s Catholic Church, 6210 Mt. Baker Hwy, Deming, WA 98244. Interment and reception to follow the Mass. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Operation Doing More.
